The An-Nisa Foundation

Health knowledge changes everything.

We educate, train, and empower rural women to become champions of their health—and trusted advocates within their communities.

An-Nisa Foundation community health initiative

Why we exist

Closing the distance between care and community.

The An-Nisa Foundation was founded by Dr. Sumera Haque in dedication to her mother, Qamar An Nisa. That deeply personal story became a larger mission: expand access to health education, screening, referral pathways, and compassionate care for women in underserved rural communities.

Our focus

Practical knowledge.
Lasting impact.

01

Women’s health

Education on nutrition, hygiene, reproductive health, and breast health supports earlier detection and better-informed decisions.

02

Community health

Women and family members become local health advocates, extending reliable information through their communities.

03

Health empowerment

Training helps women advocate for their needs, navigate care, and take a stronger role in decisions affecting their health.

Our work

Local partnerships make progress possible.

We pair community-based training with technical guidance, care coordination, and reliable referral systems—helping connect rural communities with qualified healthcare providers and district hospitals.
